Evdokiya Kolokolnikova: About family

Categories: Family, Evdokiya Kolokolnikova

I was born in village Bolshoye Selo. There were five collective farms there. It was such a big village! My father was a Belarusian. He came from Magilyov Oblast. His mother died and their father brought them to Sibir. He became a «khodok» (tranls. «a person moving to Sibir and settling down on a piece of land»), there was free land in Sibir. And here it was difficult with finding a piece of land. He left two brothers here, he took the children there. And he, of course, died there. All the brothers built houses, got married there. And all of them lived there.
