Please tell me when did you go to school?
When I went to school... Well, that was before the war. So, it happened in the Polish times. But I … I attended school just a little. A little. And the Soviet government came. At that time we didn’t go anywhere. The school was closed up: there weren’t any teacher, anybody. Until we found it... We found it, I studied at one school, and then the Germans came. So I went to school at the German regime. Just for a while. I remember we studied the German language, we learned a German song. Well. We rehearsed it. Then again the Soviet government came. The Soviet power. Well. So I went to the other school, in my village. There was a school here, so I went there. I went at that time… they came again; I went there in the Polish times. Then the Germans came, the Soviet people came first, so I went to the other school. I went to school. Well. Then the Germans came again, so I studied with huge gaps later. So I always took some time to find teachers, school where it was possible to study. Well. So we had big gaps. So we studied for short periods all the time. I went to school in Zaruchcha, also I went to the neighboring village to school to Alkhouka. Well. At that time there was such a man – Valasevich. I finished four years of school there. I studied very well. And I wanted to go to Dokshytsy to study. But my parents didn’t allow me; I needed to rent a flat, the roads were not cleared in winter, nobody cleared the roadway. The buses didn’t run, there wasn’t any bus. Well. I needed to rent a flat, but it was very expensive. We didn’t have money. Any money. So father refused. The teacher came to our house to ask to get me off to school in Dokshytsy. But I wasn’t allowed, so I stayed at home. So I stayed all the time.
